My dear Sisters, 

Welcome to the St. Hugh’s Past Students’ Association official website on Freewebs. We invite you to bookmark it with your favourites, and visit often. 

We have worked hard to improve on what went before. You will find that this layout is easier to read and navigate. We will also make every effort to update the site often, so that you can’t resist coming by to visit.

 

Of note is the Executive link, where you will see who currently serves on the executive, and the committees that are in place to run the business of the Association. By contacting committee heads, you have a direct line towards  involvement.

 

Our newsletter, Leinster Links, is over two decades old, but our new editor has made it even more accessible with the click of a mouse. It still carries all the features and information that you rely on, but now it has a hint of glamour and pizzaz. We hope that you approve.

 

The 115th anniversary of our school is in 2014, and this site will be the clearing house for all updates. The calendar has beed published under the 115th Anniversary (includes the Swans 5K Run/Walk) page in the side bar, so that you may arrange your diary.

 

A new feature that we are excited to introduce is our Business Community, this is a temporarily free listing of businesses and professional services of members of the SHPSA- a direct benefit of being a paid up member and a supporter of the Association. We encourage you to visit the link often as this list will grow, and you will be able to contact business owners directly to access a range of services. 

 

You can play a role in making this site vibrant and interactive by sending us photos and stories of your own past student activities. Please also link us to your own social websites, and invite us to view them.  Already, links to the NY and South Florida and Atlanta Chapters are here.

Through God’s grace, the Association was formed and sustained by the vision and effort of those who went before. Its programmes and fund raisers have been of invaluable benefit to the school and our little sisters. We now need your help. Visit often, be involved, live the school’s motto of loyalty.

2013-2014 ANNUAL REPORT

The Annual General Meeting was held on Thursday, September 25, 2014. The 2013-14 Executive had a fairly productive year which was significant because of the 115th Anniversary of St Hugh's. The SHPSA started with a focus on four main objectives, numbered below with detailed strategies available hereThe sub-committees were aligned to these objectives and were responsible for executing them. 

  1. Strengthen the Public Relations for the Association and by extension the school ongoing to September 25, 2014
  2. Enhance membership by re-invigorating membership drive and membership benefits by September 15, 2014
  3. Increase paid up membership to the PSA by 20% by July 31, 2014
  4. Improve and regulate sponsorships to the Association by September 15, 2014.

St. Hugh’s Swans 5K Run / Walk  in 2015

Objective:  St. Hugh’s Past Students’ Association will stage its 5K event in order to raise funds to support the school’s development programmes.

Date: Saturday, February 7, 2015 starting at 7:30 a.m. Warm-up exercises at 6:30

Fee: J$1000.00 per adult / J$500.00 each student up to Grade 13 with ID

ENTRY FORM 

Registration closes on Friday January 23, 2015 at 5:30 p.m.
